The September MKD-CKC item is mittens—child size. Bring your completed mittens to the September or October MKG meeting. Feel free to use any pattern you wish. Ideally, you could use washable wool or an acrylic/wool blend. However, use your judgment for making warm mittens.

Our MKG library has books featuring mittens: look for “The Mitten Book”, “Folk Mittens”, and “Knitting Fair Isle Mittens and Gloves” for more challenging patterns. The library also has the Vogue Knitting series “Mittens and Gloves” for basic and challenging patterns. Your favorite yarn shop can also provide assistance.
